Welcome to the Crop Bioengineering Laboratory
This site provides information about our plant transformation services. The laboratory currently transforms maize inbred line B104 using well-established protocols and techniques. The facility encompasses 1,352 square feet of lab space and 4,100 square feet of greenhouse space to achieve a high level of service for our customers.
This laboratory is part of the ISU Crop Bioengineering Center, which seeks to address the challenge of providing sufficient food, feed, biofuels, and biorenewable chemicals for the world’s burgeoning population.
